[The Prince] The Otaku princess - an introduction
August 4, 2008Let’s talk about one of the princesses the Prince has encountered while meandering in one of the balls he had to attend. Let’s call her… the Otaku princess. She’s weird. She’s geeky. She’s a fan of a lot of things, from digital single-lens-reflex cameras to anime to rock bands to pop culture to a lot of other things. She does that ‘kawaii’ pose on a lot of her pictures and yet she’s not an eyesore unlike a lot of people doing that damn pose - in fact she’s… cuter, if that’s possible. She’s also very intelligent - a trait that’s quite rare in the circles the Prince is forced to move around. She likes stargazing. She likes watching the sunrise. She likes poking people with her sheathed tantō for fun complete with the *poke* SFX bubble card that she carries around. She likes wolfing down food - from cakes to ice cream to arroz caldo - yet she’s not fat. She likes cats and dogs yet she doesn’t have any because of her Queen’s wishes. She’s a nice, kind kid - way too nice and kind, if you’re going to ask the Prince.
Wait. Have I already said that the Otaku princess is actually a ninja? Well, she’s a kick-ass ninja princess. She can kill you with her dazzling smile and break your heart into a thousand pieces with her puppy eyes - that’s just for starters. And being a ninja means she’s been through a lot of life-and-death experiences. One of those was due to her own father, a drunkard of a ninja King. He sent a platoon of crack ninja assassins to snuff out the Otaku for an imagined slight. She pwned all their asses in minutes. Of course, she didn’t exactly escaped unharmed, but hey, she pwned around forty crack ninja assassins - that’s something. And yeah, she pwned her King’s drunken ass after recuperating from her injuries. Well, being told the cold truth hurts. Being dead drunk just accentuates the pain further. Sucks to be the King I suppose.
She’s still a kid yet already an adult - childish yet so mature, inexperienced yet already so wise in many things. She’s got a big big heart with enough love to give out to everyone yet she’s very reluctant to let anyone into her secret garden for reasons only known to her. And I really think the Prince likes her. He likes her enough that he goes way way way out of his way to interact with her (and that’s a lot, considering the Prince’s social inclinations - which is close to none) and yet he’d rather not push some issues that he thinks needs to be pushed (read: the attraction) because of the things he’s gleaned from long late-night talks over the ether network. Does the Prince have romantic feelings for her? No one can say; only Time will tell really. But yeah, I really think the Prince likes the Otaku princess a lot. Way more than he would readily admit.
Well, you can’t really blame him, can you?
